Advanced Ladies (Group 2) Champion Lady 2022
Shirley Bullock Memorial Trophy - Inaugural Winner
So many things that Kim loves about physie; friendship, keeping active & fit, the Teamwork and sharing physie memories with her niece Haylee.
Walking up the Town Hall steps to the stage can be very nerve wrecking, but Kim describes the atmosphere as magical, especially when she finds her marker on the floor!
Kim has very special memories of 2014 being awarded First Place as well as her niece in the same year, which was greeted with lots of excitement from her Yarrawarrah Physie club mates. In 2022, being the inaugural recipient of the Shirley Bullock Award, was truly an honour.
She has been blessed with many wonderful teachers in her physie life, all telling her to present herself & keep her chin up (and stop talking!) Her Teacher Ella describes Kimmy as an absolute asset to Yarrawarrah Physie. She always has a smile on her face and brings lots of laughter & fun to the Ladies Class. She is a selfless lady who is willing to help anyone at physie and is a pleasure to teach.
A tip Kim uses when running through her physie routines, is to practice until you don't get it wrong & listen to the beat of the music. On competition days, she will run through the work in her head & try not to overthink it, hoping it all comes back to her when the music starts!
Kim describes physie as a combination of dance & aerobics with a bit of marching, all to modern music.
